Student Council Trip to Streatley
On 27th April our newly elected student council attended our annual trip to Streatley-on-Thames for their first council meeting. Over Thursday and Friday we had a lot of work to do! We began the conference by getting to know each other through some team building games and walks in the hills- a tradition that the school council does every year. After dinner we analysed the student survey and discussed the views of the students at Waingels. We identified some of the key issues raised in the survey, and created six action groups. Each group took on the responsibility of a certain area of improvement. Friday was spent in these groups where we came up with an action plan which will be presented to the Governors. These action groups are already planning follow up meetings to continue the work that they started at Streatley. We are really excited about the impact that the Student Council hope to have in the following areas, led by our Sixth Form Student Leaders.
