Applying for a Place at Waingels

Applications for Year 7: September 2025

The application process for transferring from primary to secondary school is managed by Wokingham Borough Council. To apply for a place in Year 7, for September 2024, all applications should be made to the Local Authority in which you reside. In-Year Applications

To apply for a place outside of the normal Year 7 admissions process, an application should be made directly to Waingels. Applications can only be submitted up to half a term before the place is required, as indicated in the following table:

For entry to a school at the start of a term or half term, an application will need to be received by Waingels, 15 school days in advance of the commencement date. It is possible in this instance, that your child will start a short time after the start of the term or half term.
